Introducing Nellie Skywalker

This is six-week-old Nellie (formerly called “Nub”) who was born with a partially developed front, right leg. The vet figures the umbilical cord got tangled around her leg during development and stunted it.

She has been with us for almost a week now. She’s made friends with our also disabled chihuahua (a broken leg that his last owners never fixed) and gotten scolded by our neurotic (due to previous owner abuse) boxer for licking his nose unexpectedly. But, she’s also mastered stairs already, likes shredding cabbage and paper, and is working on becoming house-broken. Good times here at Loch Nest in rural South Carolina.

PS. Thanks for giving all these puls a great home!

    1. Her mother was a labmix of some kind and her father is unknown. The mother was found by friends of ours as a pregnant stray. Her littermates definitely did not all share the same father. LOL
